Part One, Why Don't They Just Leave?
The domestic abuse bill is in development. To start our journey and to begin to really understand domestic abuse we go to an emergency life-saving refuge and meet 2 victims in danger, both unexpectedly in the same situation despite their obvious differences. It will challenge your perception of who the victim is, the behaviour of the perpetrator and how the system helps cover it all up. Are things as black and white as we are led to believe? Is there more to this for host Charlie Webster than meets the eye?
